Table of contents:
Understanding human fallacies is a corner stone for strategy building. Fallacies are not errors. They are unconscious lies individuals build to confirm beliefs and satisfy needs. They are business killers. And the most dramatic aspect is that when one is "within" a fallacy, one is more convinced than anyone else to be right. Approaching reality knowing that perception can be fallacious and knowing how fallacies work will help you to build the necessary antidotes to find the true reality. This work turned out to be one of the master pieces to approach the nature of human behavior. Until the development of integral logic, fallacies were considered reasoning or foundation errors. This research has demonstrated that fallacies are not errors; instead they are functional conducts or behaviors that ascertain beliefs or needs. This research started in 1985. It included the follow up of eight people per country during four years, encompassing the following cultures: Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, England, Japan and the U.S. It concluded with implantation processes carried out in 2002 and ended with the summary developed in early 2003.
